MIDI fighting on the Launchpad

I really have huge admiration for the MIDI Fighter project over on DJTT. The fact that everything is open source, the fact that they are wrecking their brain over trying to push the boundaries of digital Djing is just very inspiring. But even still I decided to go with the Launchpad mainly because it also has a thriving community and because it serves me better in my music production endeavors. However it seems like I can still benefit from some of the things going on in the MIDI Figher ecosystem. Ean recently announced an official MIDI Fighter mapping by DJTT. With a bit of hacking on my train ride back from Berlin I put together a little Bome script that would turn the upper left hand corner of my Launchpad into a MIDI Fighter including LED feedback. This script allows me to use the official Traktor mapping with no modifications at all!

Of course the buttons on the Launchpad are not as super awesome as those on the MIDI Fighter, but I still have 64 other buttons I can use on the Launchpad. So I could easily map out a second deck, though in that case I would probably have to change the mapping a little to no longer use the deck in focus. I am actually planning to somehow or another integrate this into a Traktor mapping for Kaptapult. Again I am hoping that I can just use the stock MIDI Fighter mapping by configuring Katapult to send the required MIDI messages directly. With Kaptapult of course all sorts of other cool stuff will be possible as well, but for now this is already quite fun.

Woundn't this be possible with the midikatapult too? I recently tried to make a similiar mappin, so the hotcue state and the action is configured to one button, but it isn't as easy as I suggested. I would be glad if you could help me.
