So after what must be over 20 years I finally made it back to Sweden. But rather than picking blue berries and canoeing I went to play frisbee .. and of course DJ at the party. First up I am sorry that I couldn't fulfill several requests .. the cause is partly because I was using my spare laptop so I didn't have my entire collection with me. Also in hindsight I should have tried to get that USB stick setup on my laptop so that I could downloaded missing tracks via iTunes. At any rate was a cool experience DJing once again outdoors .. on a beautiful beach with a fire burning in front of the tent. It was also the first time I used my recently purchases Novation Nocturn for DJing. Not really a big fan of the Automap requirement, but the upside is that this way the behavior of some of the bottons can be changed (f.e. from toggle to momentarily). I made a very simple mapping which worked great. Just have to put on labels because I sometimes got confused which encoder for was scrubbing through tracks and which encoder I setup for the EQ's. There was a bit of dancing, but the last few hours of the set was basically just people sitting around the fire with my music playing in the background .. until 4:00 in the morning.
