If not why not ..

Still can't play frisbee (next Thursday I will get operated to fix my ACL) but still rocking out the parties. Had to cancel the Interflug 2010 in Berlin because due to work I would have just been able to fly in for the party which is a bit much for just a hobby. But last weekend I Dj'ed at the ultimAir 2010 party. I setup at 20:00 and freaked out a bit since the arcade buttons were kinda unresponsive. I just had to replace one button with some soldering action, but I had used the unit for some testing since then, actually I did the same morning and the unit always travels in a travel case.

Anyway, when I started at 23:00 all was well but the dance floor was really well attended for the first bit even though the sound system was awesome. Loved the fact that plenty of peopled were jumping to the harder guitar stuff (like this Bloody Beetroots + Refused remix), especially usually its more guys that go crazy but this time the girls owned the floor for that part. Later in the night I even did my first little juggeling routine during the gig. People seemed to like the musical break it created, not sure if they realized that I was actually combining "O' Sole Mio" with "Bang" to spell out the name of my team aka "Solebang" (many of who were around since they were involved in the tournament organization).

Since the early morning DJ canceled I ended up playing til I think about 6:30. By then it was just me, one of the organizers, the guy from the bar and of course that guy who locked himself in the girls bathroom pants down on the toilet (someone had some fun and a but much to drink it seems). We sat outside, talked and then started the basic cleanups. After checking out the first few games of the tournament I made it home at around 14:30 and slept for 16 hours straight :)
