If not why not ..

As a web developer by day I have little appreciation for flash, except for the rare things that cannot be achieved with HTML and Javascript. This mainly comes down to audio and video use cases. So in this sense I have found to fun flash based tools that music lovers should appreciate. The first one I assume most of you have stumbled over already. Its cool pad interface to all the vocals in Daft Punks "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" with the instrumental version playing in the background. Loads of fun and quite inspiring to try and do something like this myself with another song. Actually I think I am going to use this flash movie along with my bluetooth keyboard to rock on the dance floor and to let the audience have some fun interacting with the music as well. The other one I have only briefly tried, but a co-worker was quite fond of it. Its basically a tool that leds you create a complex synth setup to mess around and create audio tracks right from your browser! Only semi related, the same co-worker also recently went to see a performance using the reactable. Obviously not flash, but waaaaay cool. Can't wait to have technology advance so that everybody can have something like this at home.
