If not why not ..

Now that I figured it out it seems quite obvious, but for a couple of hours I was driving my head against the wall to figure out how to do cueing in Traktor Pro. The crux of the problem was that it had something to do with the "Cue" button. To a novice not such a crazy idea. Adding to the problem was that I did not yet have my soundcard setup properly, so I was monitoring output 1/2 on my AK1 instead of 3/4 as configured in Traktor Pro. So the few times I did click on the little headphone icon, it did not do what I expected either. Long story short, in the end I did figure out that I had to fix up my AK1 setting and simply hit the headphone icon to "ignore" the crossfader setting for the given desk I had clicked on.
