Plus I keep seeing posts about where people talk about the difference between "loop" and "beatjump" oriented DJs. I guess my current goal are more to make sure that I have a nice set of songs to play and that I make sure that the transitions keep the crowd dancing. Ah the other question I get asked is what music I will be spinning and I guess here I am not so fixed. Personally I love really going crazy on the dance floor to Prodigy, Chemical Brothers or Range Against the Machine. But I guess my target crowd for a real "gig" will be ultimate frisbee parties and there I need to find a nice mix to also play some bouncy hip hop or even salsa. As long as people are dancing I am happy :)
